Queue-it strengthens regional presence in South Korea by expanding in Seoul, using AWS’s local infrastructure to deliver improved performance and reliability for its fast-growing Korean customer base.

Queue-it, the market leader in virtual waiting room software and services, today announces its operational expansion in South Korea, leveraging AWS’s Seoul-based data center to process and store data locally. The data center improves Queue-it’s performance, reliability and speed for South Korean customers, reducing latency by 90% across the region.

The use of the Seoul data center comes in response to the strong demand Queue-it has seen for more robust tools to control traffic in South Korea. Since launching its South Korea office in April 2024, Queue-it has started working with two of the country’s top ten largest companies, including a global electronics retailer, and leading financial services company KB Securities. Market feedback has shown South Korean organizations are choosing Queue-it's industry-leading solution over local offerings for its increased flexibility to deliver secure, reliable and consistently branded waiting room experiences and its 14+ years of expertise gained by working with global top brands.

“The Seoul data center is an essential part of Queue-it’s continued commitment to the South Korean and Asia-Pacific market,” says Queue-it CEO Jesper Essendrop. “It ensures faster speeds and higher reliability for our Korean clients, empowering them to build trust among their customers with reliable, fair, and transparent sales and registrations, no matter the demand.”

Globally, Queue-it supports over 1,000+ organizations across e-commerce, financial services, ticketing, public sector and education. Its virtual waiting room service empowers companies like Rakuten, Ticketmaster, Zalando and All Nippon Airways to build and nurture trust by ensuring fair and reliable online experiences on their busiest days. In 2024, an average of 80 million visitors passed through Queue-it’s waiting rooms per day, bringing Queue-it’s all-time visitor count to a milestone 100+ billion since 2010.

The Seoul data center is Queue-it’s first in South Korea, its second in the APAC region, and its fifth globally. It joins Queue-it’s existing data centers in North America, the Asia-Pacific region, Latin America, and Europe.
